A big congratulations to my good friend Allan Thomas! This morning he successfully reached the summit of Mount Everest. He climbed Everest to raise money for CLAN. Here you will see the background as to why Allan climbed the highest mountain in the world. You can also make a donation online. He has a target of £50,000 he wants to raise and I know that hitting this target would mean as much to him as successfully climbing Everest. I encourage you to take a look at the site, read the stories and make a donation to a worthwhile cause. Having been to the Himalayas myself I know what it is like coping with the altitude at nearly 5000m, I can't imagine what it is like over 8000m! Well done once again Allan, Shana and I are both delighted for you!
